Is the TJ Wrangler the best Jeep ever?

From my past experience as a TJ wrangler owner, I would have to say yes and here are the reasons why. The following week after driving it off the lot I Put a 3 inch rancho lift kit with a quick release sway bar, a few months went by and I put on a K&N air filter, Gibson Exhaust, Bilstein Nitro Shocks, and custom headers. My Jeep was not only a torque monster but it handled any trail I made it go through with ease and the affordable exhaust upgrade made the 4.0 inline 6 sound almost like a V8.
Now here’s the kicker, one day I was going through a trail with a friend of mine in his lifted mid 80’s Toyota pickup when I accidentally slid in the dusty trail and rolled the TJ Wrangler over, down a drop off, and back onto all 4 tires! Now I only had the thing for about 6 months and after the Jeep settled down my first thought was “Great my Jeep is now totaled.” But when I went outside to check out the damage the only thing that happened was a small crack in the windshield and a small bend in the roll bar that is barely noticeable. In fact I drove it home on the freeway that same night, and when I took it into the dealership the next morning to make sure everything was ok they called me back in a few hours and told me nothing was wrong at all. So when I picked it up they told me to be more careful and also told me that “There are other ways to check underneath your Jeep.” I then drove the same jeep every day for 4 more years b4 I finally sold it to a private buyer.
Aside from my own experience, TJ’s aren’t too expensive to buy off the lot and they aren’t too expensive to upgrade and modify. A stock TJ is capable but in order to turn it into a trail queen they do need at the very least a 2 inch suspension lift but at least you don’t have to deal with bouncy outdated leaf springs like the CJ and YJ. Putting in other modifications like a custom cage and high wheel travel fender flares are all simple and affordable as well. I could keep going but you get the idea, I’m a TJ freak.

I like the way TJ's flex but they can be expensive to lift. The controll arm mounts are thin and bend and break.
My YJ may not flex very well but the leaf springs are simple, cheap and have proven to be reliable.
If I ever buy another jeep it will be a TJ because they seem to resist body rust much better.

I installed a 6" long arm rubicon express kit on a 04 rubicon. nothing but problems. rattles, sqeeks, shimmys and bent the control arm. Is this a good kit or did I get ripped.

In my opinion....the "best Jeep" award goes to the XJ    but lets be honest here     unless your driving a compass or a JK    youre pretty awesome
