What do you guys think is the best "Big-Bore" (500cc or larger) Quad on the market?

Can I answer none? lol
I'm sure there are great utility quads out there, but being a Sport Quad guy the only ones I know of are the Polaris Preditor 500 and the Raptor 660/700 and the Bombardie 650 and Kawasaki V-Force 700.
The Preditor is a nice quad. It's fast and handles great. But they come with the typical Polaris craftsmanship and you will be spending some time with your service department.
The Raptor is great, don't get me wrong. But as a sport quad it falls way short. It is too tall and when you are sitting on it you can feel how tall it is, putting the center of gravity too high (for me anyway) It is heavy and for its displacement it is relativly slow. I can hang with them with my modded 400.
Raptor 700... well... great shot at adding fuel injection, but I wouldn't buy a first year. They had some issues getting the injection to work correctly. And overall, it is still a Raptor.
Then we have the Bombardie and Kawasaki. These things are just tanks. Plain and simple. They are huge. These would be like your crossovers, part sport, part utility.
All these bikes are great for just puttering around your property or trails, but if your a serious ridder or racer.. stick with the generation of 400/450 sport quads.

I have to agree in saying that the bombs and kawasakis are big bulky and NOT for a little guy like me. I have ridden the Raptor 700 (I know 4 people who each have one) and they do have some quirks in both the fuel system and the charging system. When they are working like they should they seem a hair sluggish but the throttle respose and torque curve is pretty sweet actually. Another problem with them is the steering support and shaft is EXTREMELY prone to bending at the supports rather than at the bars during even the mildest topple in the dunes. I reccomended to a friend to smooth the handle bar where the clamp grips so the bars will move rather than lock and bend the frame up. It works fairly well however my opinion to him was to STOP ROLLING IT!!! I refuse to even think about buying one until they perform and hold up like a true blue.

You see, I'd put the Raptor 700 in the "Sport" category since the Raptor 660 was launched as a "Sport" quad, but I guess since I already talked about it here I have to leave it as a "Big Bore" too... what eve... the 450s still work it...
