MY SON BOUGHT A 1986 S10 TRUCK AND PREVIOUS OWNERS MADE A FRONT AND REAR AXLE SWAP BUT I WAS NEEDING TO KNOW HOW I MIGHT FIND OUT WHAT YEAR AND SIZE THEY ARE.  I KNOW THEY ARE OUT OF AN OLDER 3/4 TON TRUCK BUT DON'T KNOW YEAR AND SIZE.  IS THERE ANY MARKINGS OF ANY KIND THAT I CAN RESEARCH ON THE INTERNET TO FIND OUT THIS INFO?

THANKS

count the number of bolts on teh covers and take a look at the shape of the covers.. then i'd do a search on teh net for identifying diffs and see if you can find a picture to match it too.. don't go cross-eyed though.. i know they can look the same sometimes.
