i have a lexus and im so ready to get rid of it! im an off road girl and ive always wanted a pre runner to fix up and take to the dunes. i was thinking of buying an older one like 90's but i dont know. anybuddy have any suggestions?  

The older the truck the more problems you are going to have and will have fewer of the creature comforts of the newer trucks.

If you look at an early 90's truck you are looking at a truck that is now almost 17 years old. Which is OLD by truck standards. My truck is almost 8 years old and it is a handfull to keep up as a street worthy daily driver.

If you have the money I would look at an early 2000's truck. '01-'02's are getting cheaper everyday and are easy to come by.

But that is just what I would do.
