I have a baja that I want to put tires on. I drive mostly in the hard California dessert. Does anybody have a suggestion as to the type of tires

The M.T. baja MTZ or the MTX are great all around tires that have some bite as well as good road manners. The Dick Cepek, FC-II and the Nitto, Terra Grapplers are also good choices. I have shy'd away from the BFG all terrains due to there "funny" wear pattern after a while of street time plus off roading. If all you use them for is the desert, they'd be fine but I have never understood why they don't transition well going back and forth from street to off road and neither does the local dealer. I hear the new 54" bogger is rather nice as well!
If you don't want it BROKE, DON'T let me drive it.
