Grand Cherokee SRT8 - A Real Jeep?

Do you guys think the Grand Cherokee SRT8 is a "real" Jeep? I've driven one. It sure is fast. There's no doubting that. But considering it's built for the street & low-slung, does it deserve to have the "Jeep" badge on it? Is it any better or worse than the Compass or Patriot?

If you don't bring many preconceptions or prejudices to the table about the Jeep name, the Grand SRT is one serious machine. But in no way, shape, or fashion is it an off-road vehicle. Think of it as a high-riding musclecar, and you've got more of the drift. Now...if we could only convince Jeep to offer that engine in the Rubicon.

Nope, not a Jeep. It lost that when it went IRS. Having the seven slot grill doesn't make up for the IRS/IFS junk, SRT or not.

i believe that this is definitely more of a jeep than the compass or patriot because it is one hell of a vehicle and does have somewhat offroading capabilities i believe this is jeeps attempt toward the future of jeeps as a whole push towards it being fast and handling off road situations however it just doesnt hold true to what a jeep should be
