What impact do you think, if any, Cerberus' purchase of Chrysler will have on future Jeep product development? Do you think they could spin the division off as was speculated before, or would they be stupid to give up this legendary brand?

It's the best thing that could have happened. Cerberus is privately held and isn't worried about daily stock performance, so can do what's needed to back all their divisions and make them work. Let's face it - the Germans and the North Americans didn't get along. While the vehicles in all Chrysler divisions are improved by being involved with Daimler, we're going to see great things at Chrysler now. The improved morale at the company that's already happening is fantastic! Jeep is safe and will continue to shine. Hopefully, the new powers-that-be will get rid of the stupid Compass and increase JK production, too.

Let's not go picking on them German folks now, remember they gave us, OK, how bout the compass. MacGyver, had a Compass. And a pocket knife, and some chewing gum, and a paper clip. He could make it through enemy territory, de-fuse a nuke and save the girl. certainly the Jeep compass can,,,,,,,,,,,,,,. Oh never mind, I agree, that compass thing is STUPID!
If you don't want it BROKE, DON'T let me drive it.
