I'm considering an FJ.  I'm stationed overseas and can't buy one with the auto traction control.  I'm going to South America next, so the car will see a lot of off road use and driving in the snow.  How important is the ATC option?  How is the FJ without it?  Thanks!

I had it shut off most of the time I was driving it when I tested one... but then again I don't like the electronic nanny's to begin with so... Also, I believe the traction control shuts off when its put into 4wd (if I remember correctly) so it may not even be an issue in the snow... something to look into...
