Tickets Now Available For Purchase Online

SANTA ANA, CALIF. – (March 25, 2008) The 2008 Off-Road Expo presented by Toyota, the nation’s largest off-road consumer products show series, will rumble into the Pomona Fairplex with plenty of off-road products and fun for the whole family for the first ever spring expo Friday, April 4 through Sunday, April 6.

This three-day off-road showcase will feature all the latest off-road toys such as trucks, sand rails, ATVs, side-by-sides, dirt bikes, rock crawlers and Jeeps, as well as accessories, technologies, and gear from the off road industries’ leading national and local exhibitors. In addition to all the off-road vehicles, accessories and great show discounts, there will be amazing live-action entertainment for the whole family including exciting motorcycle stunt performances in the Motosphere steel globe and United Off-Road Challenge (UROC) rock racing demonstrations throughout the weekend.

“The first ever Spring Off-Road Expo is a great addition to the series, as it is the perfect place for Southern California off-road enthusiasts to kick-off the season and see all the latest toys and accessories for the summer,” said Show Director Tom Gattuso. “Due to the success of the annual Fall Off-Road Expo in Pomona we wanted to give off-road fans another opportunity to come together with friends, check out the latest products in the industry and enjoy some amazing live action off-road entertainment. Off-Road Expo is also the best place to take advantage of great show discounts on vehicles, accessories and gear offered only on site at the expo.”

New this year, the expo will feature heart pounding performances from a team of motorcycle stunt riders inside the Motosphere steel globe. During each performance, two to four riders will race within inches of each other in open throttle action inside an 18-foot steel globe and perform a sequence of tricks in all 360 degrees of the globe. The stunt team will wow attendees with a sequence of tricks and is surely a can’t miss feature for motorcycle fans of all ages!

Back by popular demand will be UROC rock racing demonstrations featuring some of rock crawling’s most exciting competitors. Rockcross racing is a new breed of off-road motorsport that combines technical rock crawling with head-to-head racing, eliminating tedious time trials. The UROC demonstrations will allow attendees to get up-close and personal to this innovative new race form that marries the technical skills of rock crawling with the sheer thrill of racing as teams are not only pitted against each other, but also some of the world’s toughest obstacles. The UROC demonstrations will take place throughout all three days on a specially built track that lets fans get up close to all the action.

The Spring Off-Road Expo will take place Friday, April 4, from 2 p.m. – 8 p.m., Saturday, April 5, from 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. and culminates Sunday, April 6, from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Held at the Pomona Fairplex, located at 1101 W. McKinley Avenue in Pomona, Calif., admission to the event is $12 for adults, $5 for children 6-12 and children 5 and younger are free. Lowest ticket prices are available online at www.offroadexpo.com; $2 off discount coupons are available at Discount Tire Centers and participating off-road retailers. The Off-Road Expo presented by Toyota will also return to Salt Lake City for its third year April 25 – 27 and the ninth annual fall Off-Road Expo presented by Toyota will return to Pomona October 3 – 5. As much as I hate to say it, this show was probably the weakest one I have ever been to, and I've been to a lot of off-road shows. I really hope the Expo in October is it's usual self, not like this. Anybody else think this or is it just me?
