Ok, I just bought this 06 dakota 4X4 and cant find anything for it.  I want to install the Trailmaster leveling kit and need new longer front shocks, but cant find anyone that sells them.  Also, I want to find some kind of winch bumper, but no luck there either.  Any ideas?

It sucks to say, but there really isn't much out there for the Dakota's, especially later model ones like yours.

As much as I hate to send you away from here, I'd suggest finding a Dakota forum and asking them. This is one of those things where the specialized knowledge of a Dakota enthusiast will come in handy.

I know you're just the messenger here, but as a 2006 Dakota owner as well, I'm getting really tired of the default answer of look else where. It seems that even on the Dakota sites, they say the same thing. It's as if we Dak owners don't even exist and I think that sucks. At this point the best you can get is a body lift--no suspension lifts available. You can get a locker to replace the LSD as well. However, you can forget about body armor or winch bumpers or any of the other many trail necessities.  Even the lowly Suzuki Samaria is being modded to drive on the trails, but still no 3rd gen Dakotas. One of these days there's going to be a Dak owner who custom builds a true off-road truck and will be featured in one of the many off-road magazines and I hope he gives the 4x4 parts manufactures a big F.U. for stepping up to the plate and doing something to help the many Dak owners who would have loved to have had already manufactured parts to drop in instead of having to make their own custom jobs. And if they had any doubts as to how many Dak owners are looking for mods, just do a Google search. There are hundreds, if not thousands, of owners who are looking for parts in vein.

Try Kinnesaw Mountain in Lithia Springs, GA. I just bought & installed a Wincher Bumper for my 2005 Dakota Crew Cab 4X4 with a Warn 9.5 XP winch and it looks awesome. I lost about 1/2" at the front wheel wells but I have a leveling kit to install and that should make up for that and add some additional clearance. Let me know how it comes out. Now, who can help with a lift kit??????

At least your not alone Hunter, the S10 owners get the same answer as Dakota owners. Frustrating I know... the only answer is to create demand, if there is a demand then there will be a supply... make it known to the manufactures that you want their product. And I know you've heard this before, just saying...
