Hey everybody, I'm new the site, and the sport. I'm looking to build a toy, for both on and off the road. I want something that will take a beating, but I gotta be able to keep it legal for the streets as well. I've got a line on a 89 Ford 3/4 ton. and a 87 Chev 3/4 ton. both trucks are 4x4 automatic. short box reg. cab.
I'm a Chev guy myself, but i'm told the fords will take a lot more abuse.. I'm also trying to keep in mind, which has more parts availible, and would be an overall cheaper rig to build.
any input at all, is greatly appreciated.
thanks a lot.
Lewis.

Why a 3/4 ton? What kind of wheeling do you plan on doing? That will make the decision of what kind of vehicle you really want to be starting out with...
