I have a 90 Chevy 1/2 long bed. I got a lift for it and now it is on 39.5 x 18 boggers on 15 x 12 rims. I am doing a straight axles conversion kit to it when I get back from afghanistan. I have some questions that I need to get answers for. First, does anyone know if they make a 15x12 rim that is 8 lug? Because I want to change the axles to 3/4 ton. But I dont want to buy new tires cause I already have them. Second one is where can I find a gear driven transfer case and transmission that will stand up to a 502 big block that im puting in it? Thanks for the help. Justin Sweeny Cpl

I've heard of Monster Wheels that make some 8 lug 15s like what you are wanting. I would contact Discount Tire Co. and see if they can get the info for a manufacturer that has them. I have seen an ad someplace and tried to locate it to no avail, sorry. As for the drivetrain, I'd recommend going with a 4L80E auto trans or for a stick I'd go with a NV4500, either way they are the best two for what you want for stregnth, a 205 t-case or even an Atlas II. But make sure you regear the axles to about a 5.13 or 5.38 or so or you'll smoke the trannies or have sluggish starts. Sounds like alot of work to do when you get back. Its worth it though. Good luck.
