First, let me say, what a way to start the 2009~"Silver State Series" by racing an AWESOME Motorcycle/Quad/UTV Only race, the EPIC RACING PRODUCTS PARKER "250". Every year, here at Best In The Desert, we are expanding the sport of off-road racing, widening our horizons and looking for bigger and better ways to give you, the Motorcycle, Quad and UTV drivers/riders quality events! For the past five years we have had very successful events in Parker and for 2009 the EPIC RACING PRODUCTS PARKER "250" will be no exception, and no questions about it, it will be a real "DUEL IN THE DESERT!"

Best In The Desert is very proud to have EPIC RACING PRODUCTS as the Title Sponsor of the EPIC RACING PRODUCTS PARKER "250". I think it is very important that all of you racers realize just how important it is to our sport to have industry support like Epic Racing Products. I believe if we want the sport of motorcycle/quad/UTV off-road racing to continue and grow we must have the quality sponsorship involvement with companies like Epic Racing Products, who are industry driven.

Not only is this an exciting race in the State of Arizona, but the Epic Racing Products Parker "250" will be the kick-off for an EXCITING 2009 RACING SEASON! The event will be held in Parker, Arizona, on approximately an 83-mile loop with some of the best spectating areas available in off-road racing today, wow, we are adding approximately 3-miles to last year's racecourse! Again, the PARKER PYTHON, which was added in 2004, will be expanded and be a big part of the event. The Parker Python will be a rough section of jumps in front of hundreds of cheering spectators, it is a GREAT section that you will race to get back to! Once again, we have opened up Shea Road, an area considered to be a "Spectators Paradise!" Friends, family and off-road enthusiasts will be able to watch you race with all of the fierceness you can muster! Your friends, family and fans can camp and watch the BEST OF THE BEST all day long! You will be able to watch the BEST Motorcycle, Quad and UTV racers in the country. Definitely a "Duel In The Desert!" You can watch the BEST DESERT RACERS, the BEST MOTORCYCLE, QUAD and UTV RACERS all day!

The Parker event has a thirty year history of being a ROUGH and TOUGH long distance course, and this year is no different! The Epic Racing Products Parker "250" will hold true to its reputation, it is one of the toughest off-road race courses in our 2009 line up! But remember, that's why your racing, you're racing for the CHALLENGE of beating the tough desert terrain, you're racing to feel the satisfaction of completing a course that has a history like the one in Parker, AZ!

This year Best In The Desert is again promoting a Mini-Motorcycle and Mini-Quad race on Friday, January 9, 2009. This is going to be a lot of fun and this race will provide an opportunity for you to give your young racer some race experience and an opportunity to meet their motorcycle and quad race heroes! Mini Race registration will be held from 10am-12noon Friday and the Mini Awards will be held on Friday, at approximately 6:00 pm, at the BlueWater Resort & Casino.

Registration and Technical Inspection for the Epic Racing Products Parker "250" will be held at the beautiful Blue Water Resort & Casino in Parker, Arizona, on Friday, January 9, 2009, from 10am to 5pm. The Race will be held on Saturday, January 10, and the Awards Presentation will be held on Saturday Afternoon, at the BlueWater Resort & Casino! Don't miss this great day of racing! 2009 ~ Epic Racing Products Parker "250" Update !!!

1. The Epic Racing Products Parker "250" racecourse will be an approximately 83-mile loop raced three times, with an additional 2 miles at the start, one time only, and adding2 times around the Parker Python (3-miles) for a total of 254 miles. The UTV's will race two (2) 83-miles loops with the same additional miles. There will be NO pre-run for the Parker "250".

2. There will be an Alternate Pit for Motorcycles, Quads & UTV's at Mile Marker 30. You are allowed to fuel and switch riders at the Main Pit and Alternate Pit only. YOU WILL NOT be able to beat the race vehicle from the Alternate Pit to the Main Pit. We recommend two (2) pit support vehicles, One (1) at the Main Pit and one (1) at the Alternate Pit.

3. If you have a two (2) man team and you may want to divide the mileage up evenly, we recommend that the 2nd rider going directly to the Alternate Pit (Midway,) and switch riders there. If not, one rider will race 160 miles and one rider will race 80 miles.

4. EXCITING NEWS for the mother's and father's that have up and coming racers in your house!! The Best In The Desert, in conjunction with Epic Racing Products will promote the Mini Bike/Quad Race on Friday afternoon, January 9! The age limit for the Mini Bike/Quad, Limited Quad race is 15 years and younger. Enclosed is a Mini Bike/Quad entry form. The Mini Bike/Quad, Limited Quad race is a SOLO rider race only, NO TEAMS, and this year we will be issuing you a Best In The Desert race number; entry early to get your number issued.

5. The Mini Bike/Quad race is Friday, January 9, 2009, in the afternoon (time and place in Parker to be announced in the Final Information Packet, for the Epic Suspension's Parker "250" entries) The Mini-Mini and Mini-Quad race with Automatic Clutch's will have their own separate .7 mile course, with 2 rest periods. The 65cc Mini Bikes & Quads and up will have an approximate 7.0 mile course and will run for approximately 1.5 hours, and will have one (1) Main Pit. ALL kids entered in the Mini Race will receive a participant pin.

6. GREAT NEWS!! Shea Road will be open for spectators. Also there WILL BE overnight camping allowed at Shea Road and at the Main Pit in Parker!!!

7. MORE GREAT NEWS!! A new approximate 3-mile challenging section has been added to the course!

8. The AWARDS PRESENTATION for the Epic Racing Products Parker "250" Race will be held on Saturday night, January 9, 2009, at the beautiful BlueWater Resort & Casino! Don't miss an awesome day of racing and a fun night of celebrating!

9. The PARKER PYTHON and Spectating Areas will be in the MAIN PIT and you can camp there! The area will be a mile and a half of an all-new grand prix course with jumps and incredible excitement! The Main Pit area will be watered down so you'll have a clear frame for watching your favorite racers race the PARKER PYTHON!!!

10. The Epic Racing Products Parker "250" is the GREATEST MOTORCYCLE, QUAD and UTV race for the 2009 ~ "Silver State Series!" Remember, Rider/Driver of Record must enter all points events to become class champion.

11. For 2009, the rules for Motorcycles, Quads & UTV', THERE WILL BE NO THROW AWAY RACE FOR POINTS, for the Year-End Points Championship. For Motorcycles and UTV's there are six (6) points races, for Quads there are five (5) points races.
