hey my name is jack im new and im not sure if im asking this in the right place but here goes. i have a 94 ranger 2 wheel drive it has the camburg performance kit on front and deaver springs out back and racerunner shocks. now i dont live anywhere near where i can take this truck out (ohio) so i would like to turn it into a 4x4 i can do the swap the only question i have is i would like to keep the ride quality and the amount of wheel travel i have. so should i go with ttb out of a f-150 or a straight axel out of an older model basically i want a good trail truck that will still be able to perform like a prerunner. sorry for the bad explanation i can see what i want to do but i want a second opnion buying another truck wont work thanks jack

Your best bet is going to be to sell it and buy a TTB truck.

Reason I say this is because the mounts are different between the TIB and TTB Rangers, and F150, so swapping beams around isn't really an option. And if you SAS it you will have a great working 4x4, but your ride quality may suffer a bit.

Do this... flip over to www.4wor.com, or sister magazine, and search for Project Danger Ranger. He did a SAS on a '97 Ranger using Sway A Way coilovers and a Rock Krawler YJ conversion radius arm kit. It's not terrible in the ride department. Might be right up your ally.

yes buying it would be easier but all of my cage work is done and alot of sentimental value but any way i dont need to have the kind of travel to be racingit off road since i live in ohio now not too many places that are good for a truck like that out here i think im going with the straight axel thanks for the input

Straight axle is pretty much your only option for 4wd on that truck. Have fun with it and keep us updated on your progress!
