Recntly Ford introduced the innovative 2010 Ford SVT Raptor. Pricing for the Ford F-150 SVT Raptor starts at $38,995 for the 5.4L V8 model and $41,995 6.2L V8 model. Now apparently it's so innovative it caught the attention of the U.S. Border Patrol. They are asking for 10 powerful Raptors to add to there flete and patrol the border more efficiently. What do you think?? Will this stop illegals from making it into the U.S.? Or will they fail??

lol

Having newer more capable vehicles will help the Border Patrol and BLM perform their jobs more efficiently and effectively while keeping them safe. Their current enforcement vehicles are outdated. The Raptor will allow them to respond to incidents quicker and deeper into no-mans land allowing them the potential to save thousands of lives each year of those that die in the desert before making it to a city or safe house. That's just my take on it.

Though it's true that the trucks will help the U.S. Border Patrol Officers more efficiently I still doubt that the crossing number of illegals will get a dent.

See I don't think that's the point of the vehicle.

If we really wanted to stop people from crossing the border why not put in a mile wide mine field just north of the border, and un-manned motion sensitive gun turrets. This would probably cost less than a fleet of Raptors too. So yea, I don't think that's the point.

I think that would violate some rule some where and the bad publicity will probably hit the U.S. as racist or what not.

Anywho the Raptor has been getting great reviews and I think it would definitely help the U.S. Border Patrol to a point.

Why would it be racist? It would be stopping criminals. I said nothing about LEGAL immigrants. You would want the person that robbed your house or stole your car to go to jail right? Then by that logic car alarms and dead bolts are racist as they are also designed to detour crime. Same as the mine field. lol

Anyway, yup, Raptor is a cool truck. I did however find out that the 10 truck the Border Patrol supposedly ordered is just that, a rumor. However it was confirmed that the San Diego County Sheriff did order four of them!
