Hi everyone I am new to the site and could really use some help.

I have been having some over-heating problems with my '99 Cherokee (4.0 litre Inline 6) and have done all that has been recommended to me to remedy this (Replace thermostat, flush radiator, check cooling fan clutch, check water pump, etc.) Yesterday, while replacing an O2 sensor, I noticed that my head pipe was pinched just below the manifold flange. Could this be another cause for over-heating? I am going to replace the exhaust regardless but would like to know if doing so will allow my engine to run cooler.

I also need help with purchasing a new exhaust kit. This will be my first mod to the car and I am on a very tight budget but I still would like a decent system. I really want something with an aggressive sound. What kit would you experts reccomend? And are there any decent packages out there that include a catalytic converter or do I have to buy that seperately?

And one last thing, what other upgrades/modifocations are there that could allow my engine to run cooler?

Thanks in advance for any and all help,
Zach

Exhaust won't help your over heating problem. Sorry.

So you are saying the pinched pipe is not contributing to the over-heating?
