While reading an aritcle I came across a list, but not just any list, the Top 10 Vehicles stolen in CA list. It was no surprise to me some of the cars that I saw. I was a little surprised though when I saw trucks in there. Now I know that trucks are popular but most of the time I see sedans and coupes with very few SUV's on such a list. Well it turns out that the Ford F-150 and Chevy 1500 made the list. So if you guys own and F-150 or 1500 make sure you guys take care of your baby. Remember to always LOCK ALL DOORS everytime you are not in your car. Keep it safe. Here's the list by the way:

1. 1991 Honda Accord
2. 1995 Honda Civic
3. 1989 Toyota Camry
4. 1994 Nissan Sentra
5. 1990 Acura Integra
6. 1986 Toyota Pickup
7. 1993 Saturn SL
8. 1987 Toyota Corolla
9. 1990 Chevrolet Full Size C/K 1500 Pickup
10. 1997 Ford F150 Series

Any thoughts?

Not surprising. It's simply the law of averages. The F-150 has been one of the highest selling pickups for 30 some years so there are tons of them on the road, more vehicles on the road means more to steal.

Same probably goes for the Accord and Civic too, they are everywhere!

I guess the Dodge Ram just isn't even good enough to get stolen. HAHAHA

HAHAHA....Wow that's cold. Personally I don't know why security isn't more tight with these trucks though since they know they are popular. Then again thieves these days don't seem to care too much about alarms anymore.

A good thief can get around any alarm.

I know Ford has been trying for the past 10 years or so with their PATS (Passive Anti Theft System) system. And other manufacturers like Toyota are doing the same. But if somebody wants the truck bad enough they can just load it up on a flat bed and take off.

Oh, and really the best thing anybody can do is not leave anything valuable in the vehicle and carry good insurance. That way if it is stolen its not a huge deal.
