Me and a friend were bench racing the other day about how cool it could be if we could install a long stroke crank in his 4.3L just like doing a mini 383 or 388. we figure at .030 it would be 287ci., .040 it would be 288ci., and .060 it would be 291ci. Well this is still smaller than say a 305ci. and still not even a 350ci. In a s10 or a jeep I would bet it would get you close enough, keeping in mined you have maybe 200 pounds less hanging off the front and still have pretty good power. If anyone knows of a company that makes such crank ( cast or forged ), let me know on this thread.

That is a good question, I don't think I've ever seen one but I'm not sure why. In theory it should be just as easy as making a crank for a 305 or 350

Google wins again!
Here you go, a 4.3 to 272 stroker crank.

Is that with stock bore or over bore? I figure my numbers by dividing a 383 (.030), 385 (.040), and a 388 (.060) by 8 and than multiplying by 6.

The stock ci. for a 4.3 v6 is 262ci. for people that didn't know and want to.

According to the site you can get it in a stock bore, .030 .040 and .060 over.
So I'm guessing the 272 is the stock bore stroker.
