Ok, I've got an 88 f150 and it came with 15x10's and 33x12.50 . I changed to a 35x12.50 and I plan to lift it 4 inches (it has a leveling kit right now) so now the 35's rub on the inside (swaybar and radious arm) i got a good deal on some 15x14's with a lower offset (less backspacing) but i've been noticing most people run 10's and i've even seen 7 inch wide with the same size tire .... what are the pros and cons of thin vs wide wheels , it's my dd and work truck that I plan on using to transport kayaks and other small camping gear once in a while ...it really won't be an all the time offroad vehicle (or so I think) i know if i was trailriding it i probably would want thinner wheels that had more positive offset to keep width down, and on the highway thinner wheels = less drag , but besides that any other things that i should consider?

You're going to have to run more pressure to keep a 12.5" wide tire on the bead on a 14" wide wheel, so ride quality and tire life will suffer greatly.

And it will look like crap.

Find an 8"-10" wide wheel with the offset you need and go from there.

Your sidewalls will be in more danger of damage sticking out on the wider rims
