aFe Releases - Intake for 2009-2010 GM Silverado-Sierra

Corona, Ca…advanced FLOW engineering (aFe Power), an industry leader in performance cold air intakes, filters and exhaust systems is pleased to announce the release of their new Stage 2 cold air intake for the popular 2009-10 GMC Full Size Trucks (Silverado and Sierra, Avalanche) with 6.0L-V8 part numbers 51-11742 and 54-11742.

aFe Stage 2 air intake systems feature a durable, one-piece 18-gauge powder coated heat shield that blocks out engine heat and installs using factory-mounting locations. This system also includes a performance engineered roto-mold plastic intake tube with a unique 3-angle adapter to maximize air velocity and improve horsepower, torque, and throttle response. 54-11742 includes the patented Pro-5R 360 degrees high flow air filter, which utilizes 5 layers of progressive cotton media that produces excellent filtration and maximum flow. 51-11742 includes the brand new Pro Dry S  360 degree high flow air filter, which uses a progressive synthetic media, which requires no oil to recharge for maximum convenience. This intake system is finished off with a black, powder-coated top for an aggressive look. Note: This intake fits applications with a mechanical fan only.

In recent testing, part number 54-11742 outflowed the factory intake by 63% and produced an astonishing 14hp and 16ft. lbs. of torque.
