1997 Tahoe Sport 2D.

350 5.7 Vortec. Flowmaster muffler (unsure of the series), Volant CAI, all else is stock. I plan on doing a lot more with it, but I have NO money.
Thinking about a body lift, or maybe saving up for a suspension lift.
129,000 miles. Second owner. I loooooooooooooveeeee this truck!

Just "joined the club" with the purchase of a '05 Tahoe Z71. This is the first SUV I've had since my '78 K5 Blazer back in the mid 80's. It had a 6" lift and a built 400 sitting on 38" tires and was a beast in the mud...the only time it would get stuck was when I'd twist a U joint off....anyway....I was wondering how complicated these suspension lift kits are with regards to the IFS on the Tahoe.....also....power upgrades???? what should I be looking for??  And last but not least....Is there a good 4x4 shop in the central Jersey area that does good work (installs lift kits, etc.).....any help would be greatly appreciated.

To start you have a 5.7 not a 5.3 in a 99. It's a 350 vortech. oops posted without reading the rest of the thread. Also try and find a new body style 99. Body style changed in 2000, same with the engine. Having a 99 myself.
