Sway bar for off-road?

Just wondering if i should be running a sway bar off-road. Will it help in the whoops? Will I blow out a CO? Just seems like my Icons have really rough rebound.
I had to crank up the preload after putting on my add-a leafs to counter the stinkbug effect!
Can I remove a couple of leaves in the rear to reduce my preload up front? Does this sound crazy?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Remove the add-a-leaf and take some preload out. That's what's making it overly stiff.
