California License Plates To Advertise Adult Films?

We are all aware of the lovely deficit that California has these days...19 billion. Well the state of CA, or California Legislator, has this wonderful idea to turn drivers license plates into a digital form. This would mean all license plates will be able to advertise while the cars at stopped for 4 seconds.

The device would mimic a standard license plate when the vehicle is in motion but would switch to digital ads or other messages when it is stopped for more than four seconds, whether in traffic or at a red light. The license plate number would remain visible at all times in some section of the screen....In emergencies, the plates could be used to broadcast Amber Alerts or traffic information.

So my question would be....does anyone want Viagra to be advertise in your license plate?? How about the 1-800 number that you are trying to hide from your wife every time she walks into the room??

I dunno, that's kinda trippy. Seems like another thing to just go wrong. Aren't we bombarded enough already?!  

My issue with this whole thing is cost...will this make our registration/tags more expensive??? if so..then No THANKS!! I pay more than enough as it is.
