I have a 2007 Toyota FJ Cruser. It has 16" wheels. The newer models have the same suspension and brakes, but have 17" wheels. I purchased a Rough-Country 3" lift and want to add 17x9 wheels and the following Mickey Thompson tires:
Part# Size Load Weight Rge Rims 5277 37X12.50R17LT D 3,525 8.5-11.0
I recently read the article "Don't Build Like This" O-R Aug. 2010 Vol. 44 #8 with great interest and do not want to make similar mistakes. A person on an FJ Cruiser Forum said I would need 4.5" spacers for this setup. I'm more concerned about functionality for the sand/mud here in Florida.
Also, this is my daily driver, which is why I am looking at the Baja MTZ Radial SLT. If anyone has some info of why I should or should not go with this, please help. Thanks.
