MELTED SHOCK BOOT

Hey guys I was wondering if anyone else has this problem and how they solved it. I have a 1990 k1500 with about 2 inches of lift and dual exhaust. The passenger side exhaust pipe runs right next to the passenger side rear shock. As such, the rubber boot melted. This leads to a host of problems especially up north where I live. Does anyone have any solutions. Id rather not reroute the entire exhaust system if theres a better solution.
